Technical Sales Engineer

Thrive Trowbridge are delighted to be working with our established and market leading client near Chippenham who urgently require a Technical Sales Engineer to join their busy team.

In this key role, duties will include the following :

Leading and mentoring the sales team
Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential customers
Quickly assessing and understanding customer requirements to provide the appropriate solutions
Liaison with a number of internal departments to produce quotations and proposals
Offering promotional and new product advice    
Following up on quotations and negotiating terms
Ensuring successful customer service throughout project life cycles
Identifying and prospecting new clients What you will need to succeed:

A proven track record within heavy engineering essential
Qualification in Mechanical engineering or equivalent
Understanding of engineering and heavy plant essential, including hydraulics and pneumatics
Thorough understanding of technical concepts
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
Excellent IT skills including ERP/CRM software
First rate communication skills as you will be dealing with a wide range of clients
Strong commercial acumen What you will receive in return :

Due to the nature of the role, travel to client sites is required, so a valid driving licence is essential
Monday to Friday, early finish on a Friday!
