How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Have you recently graduated in Psychology, Criminology, Sociology, Counselling, Mental Health Nursing, Childhood Studies or a related field?

    Are you considering a future career as an Educational Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Therapist, Counsellor, Mental Health Practitioner, Social Worker or Teacher?

    This is an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with children and young people with a range of additional needs before progressing into further training or postgraduate study.

    The Role

    We are working with a specialist education setting supporting children and young people with a variety of complex needs, including:

    * Autism (ASC)

    * ADHD

    * SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health)

    * Trauma and attachment needs

    * Behavioural challenges

    * Speech, language and communication needs

    * Complex learning difficulties

    * PMLD (Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties)

    You'll work closely with experienced teachers, therapists, psychologists and pastoral teams to support pupils both inside and outside the classroom.

    What You'll Gain

    ✔ First-hand experience supporting children with complex needs

    ✔ Exposure to behaviour management and therapeutic approaches

    ✔ Experience working alongside multidisciplinary teams

    ✔ A deeper understanding of child development, SEND and mental health

    ✔ Valuable experience for Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counselling, Social Work or Teaching applications

    We Are Looking For

    * Psychology graduates (or related degrees)

    * Individuals passionate about child development and mental health

    * Strong communicators who can build positive relationships

    * Resilient, patient and empathetic individuals

    * Those looking to gain meaningful experience before further study or training

    Ideal For Aspiring:

    * Educational Psychologists

    * Clinical Psychologists

    * Child Psychologists

    * Counsellors

    * Therapists

    * Social Workers

    * SEN Teachers

    * Mental Health Practitioners

    Why Apply?

    This isn't a role where you'll spend your day making photocopies or observing from the sidelines. You'll become an integral part of a specialist team, helping children overcome barriers, build confidence and achieve outcomes they never thought possible.

    For many graduates, this role provides the perfect foundation for a long-term career in psychology, education, therapy or mental health.

    If you're looking for a role that is rewarding, challenging and genuinely makes a difference, we'd love to hear from you.
