How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Significant 2 year pay progression opportunity
    Clean, well-run environment

We are currently recruiting for two experienced Machine Operators to join an established production team following the successful commissioning of a new manufacturing machine. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled operators seeking a long-term role with the potential to become permanent.

Our client is comprised of a warm, welcoming team, with an impressive length of service across its employees. There is tangible pay progression, designed to recognise people developing from trainee Setters to fully self-sufficient maintenance operatives.

The successful candidates will have proven experience setting up and operating industrial machinery, ideally within the FMCG sector. You will be responsible for machine setup, efficient operation, carrying out quality and safety checks, completing all required production documentation, and resolving minor technical issues to minimise downtime.
    Key Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and monitor production machinery
Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical or operational issues
Complete production checks, records, and paperwork accurately
Maintain high standards of quality, hygiene, and safety
Work in accordance with BRCGS standards
Support continuous production and efficiency targets
    Key requirements:

Previous machine setting (or maintaining/calibrating) and operating experience is essential (12 months minimum)
Strong verbal and written English skills
Proven ability keeping pace with past-faced, high-volume environments and meeting KPI standards
Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Shifts will rotate between 6:00am–2:00pm and 2:00pm–10:00pm after a brief period of training on days.

    Pay: £14.00 - £15.00 per hour DOE
