How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Hartmann Young is partnered with a rapidly growing nutraceutical contract manufacturer currently scaling operations following significant investment into a new 170,000 sq ft manufacturing facility.


    We are seeking a commercially minded Head of Technical to lead technical, regulatory, validation, and customer technical capability across a fast-growth manufacturing environment.


    This is not a traditional compliance-led role. The successful candidate will bridge Technical, Quality, Production, Engineering, and Regulatory functions to support operational scale-up, retailer standards, process capability, and technical excellence.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead technical and regulatory strategy across the business

    • Oversee BRC, GMP, Organic, ISO22000, Halal and retailer standards

    • Drive process understanding, validation, RCA and technical risk management

    • Support retailer and customer technical relationships and audits

    • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering and Quality

    • Strengthen technical governance during major site expansion and automation growth

    • Build scalable systems to support long-term European growth


    Requirements:

    • Senior technical leadership experience within nutraceutical, food, pharma or FMCG manufacturing

    • Strong BRC and retailer audit experience

    • Strong understanding of supplement regulations across UK and international markets

    • Deep operational and manufacturing process understanding

    • Experience supporting scale-up and fast-growth manufacturing environments

    • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
