How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Trades & Labour Resourcer

    Location: Glasgow City Centre
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
    Salary: Competitive, plus performance-related bonus

    We are looking for a motivated and organised Trades & Labour Resourcer to join our team in Glasgow City Centre.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced recruitment environment, building relationships with candidates and clients, and playing a key role in supporting the day-to-day delivery of a busy trades and labour workforce.

    As a Trades & Labour Resourcer, you will be responsible for sourcing, registering and supporting candidates, ensuring compliance is completed accurately, and helping the wider team identify new opportunities for business growth.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Screening candidates for trades and labour roles

    * Registering and identifying new candidates

    * Obtaining and managing candidate compliance documentation

    * Delivering excellent customer service to candidates, clients and the existing workforce

    * Carrying out day-to-day reporting for the current workforce

    * Maintaining regular contact with workers to support attendance, availability and performance

    * Identifying leads and opportunities to support business growth

    * Supporting consultants with recruitment activity and candidate management

    * Ensuring records are kept accurate and up to date

    What We’re Looking For

    * Strong communication and customer service skills

    * Excellent organisation and attention to detail

    * A confident telephone manner

    * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

    * A proactive attitude and willingness to learn

    * Previous recruitment, resourcing, compliance or customer service experience would be beneficial

    * Knowledge of trades and labour recruitment would be an advantage, but is not essential
