How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The school is a well-regarded two-form entry primary setting with a strong community feel, supportive leadership team and a consistently Good Ofsted rating.

    About the Role

Working within a current Year 4 class, you will provide whole-class support alongside the class teacher while also delivering targeted interventions to small groups of pupils who require additional academic support.

You will lead intervention sessions with groups of 2–6 pupils twice daily, helping children who have fallen behind in their learning to build confidence and make progress. Intervention subjects will vary and will be fully planned by the class teacher.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive Teaching Assistant who enjoys supporting pupils academically and making a measurable impact on their progress.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Supporting teaching and learning within a Year 4 classroom
    • Delivering small-group interventions across a range of subjects
    • Helping pupils who require additional support to close learning gaps
    • Working closely with the class teacher to implement planned interventions
    • Supporting pupils with a range of learning needs
    • Encouraging confidence, engagement and positive learning behaviours

    The Ideal Candidate
    • Previous experience working in a primary school setting
    • Experience supporting Key Stage 2 pupils
    • Confident delivering small-group interventions
    • Strong literacy and numeracy skills
    • Patient, positive and adaptable approach
    • Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
    • Passion for helping children achieve their full potential

    Why Apply?
    • Full-time role with an immediate start
    • Opportunity to make a real impact on pupil progress
    • Supportive leadership team and welcoming staff culture
    • Well-resourced school with motivated learners
    • Potential for the role to continue into September
    • Excellent experience for aspiring teachers and education professionals
