How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Locum Occupational Therapist - Children and Young People
    Lewisham Council
    £43.80 per hour | Hybrid Working

    Eden Brown Synergy are currently recruiting for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Children and Young People's Service within Lewisham Council.

    Pay Rate: £43.80 per hour (Limited/Umbrella)
    Location: 32 Rushey Green, Catford, London, SE6 4JF
    Working Pattern: Hybrid
    * One day per week in the office (preferably Wednesdays)
    * Home visits within the community
    * Working from home available

    Main Purpose of the Role
    To provide a Community Occupational Therapy Service for physically disabled children and young people with multiple and complex disabilities, including those with learning disabilities and mental health needs, who are living in or are the responsibility of the London Borough of Lewisham.

    As part of the Paediatric Occupational Therapy team, you will manage a caseload providing assessments, advice, equipment, and adaptations for disabled children and young people within their own homes. You will also work closely with families, carers, professionals, and partner agencies to provide effective support and intervention.

    Key Responsibilities
    * Manage a caseload of children and young people with complex needs
    * Carry out occupational therapy assessments within the community and home environment
    * Recommend and arrange appropriate equipment and adaptations
    * Provide support and advice to families and carers
    * Liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies
    * Maintain accurate case records and reports
    * Support positive outcomes for children and young people to maximise independence and safety

    Essential Requirements
    * Recognised Occupational Therapy qualification
    * HCPC registration
    * Experience working within paediatric/community occupational therapy
    * Knowledge of equipment and adaptations
    * Experience working with children and young people with complex disabilities
    * Strong communication and assessment skills
    * Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
