How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    HGV Class 2 Driver – Cannock- Well-established plant hire company hiring a Class 2 Driver in Cannock. Excellent salary, overtime available, supportive team and long-term career opportunities.

    We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing plant hire business with an excellent reputation across the industry. Due to continued success, they are now looking to recruit an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join their team in Cannock.

    About the Role:

    As a HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe delivery and collection of plant machinery to and from customer sites across the local area.

    You will represent the business professionally while ensuring equipment is delivered safely, on time, and in excellent condition.

    Typical responsibilities include:

    Delivering and collecting plant machinery including dumpers, rollers, and excavators
    Carrying out vehicle checks and ensuring safe loading procedures
    Securing machinery correctly for transport
    Completing delivery paperwork and relevant documentation
    Providing excellent customer service on site
    Supporting the depot team when required

    About You

    To be successful in this HGV Class 2 Driver role, you should have previous experience delivering plant machinery or working within the plant hire, construction, or related industries.

    You should have:

    A valid Class 2 driving licence
    Experience transporting plant machinery or construction equipment
    Good knowledge of safe loading and securing procedures
    A professional and customer-focused attitude
    Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
