Shot Blaster

Location: Doncaster
Contract: Fixed-Term Contract until December 2026
Shifts: Rotating 3-Shift Pattern (Mornings, Afternoons and Nights)
Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rates, including shift allowance

Our client, a well-established engineering manufacturer based in Doncaster, is currently recruiting for an experienced Shot Blaster to join their production team on a long-term contract running through to December 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure stable work with a reputable company, with the potential to work across a rotating three-shift pattern including mornings, afternoons and nights.

Key Responsibilities

Operating shot blasting equipment to prepare steel and fabricated components for painting and finishing
Removing rust, scale and contaminants from metal surfaces
Inspecting parts to ensure they meet required quality standards
Loading and unloading heavy engineering components
Carrying out routine maintenance and cleaning of blasting equipment
Following all health and safety procedures at all times
Working to production deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Requirements

Previous experience as a Shot Blaster, Sand Blaster, Grit Blaster or Paint Prep Operative
Experience working within an engineering, fabrication or heavy manufacturing environment
Ability to work with large and heavy steel components
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
Flexible to work rotating morning, afternoon and night shifts
Overhead crane or forklift experience would be advantageous but is not essential
