How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    C&I Technician (Control & Instrumentation)
    1 year Contract 
    Oxfordshire
    IR35: Inside
     
    Minimum Requirement:
    The purpose of this role is primarily expected to provide C&I Technician (Control & Instrumentation) support to the MAST-U facility working across different groups, and on a wide range of control and instrumentation systems. This shall include working both within a workshop environment and on industrial plant to both construct and repair C&I systems, perform bench testing and fault finding.
     
    The Role: 

    Perform fault finding and repairs to C&I system under supervision, both with and without written test procedures.
    Provide C&I wire person/panel builder support to Plant Responsible Officers (PROs); to support fault finding and repair work on C&I systems associated with the MAST-U facility.
    Procure, build, test and commission new plant and equipment (i.e. cubicles, sub racks/assemblies and electronic cards) to defined requirements.
    Take ownership of technical delivery of tasks.
    Be capable of undertaking delicate and fragile work e.g., thermocouple connections.
    Generate and maintain appropriate documentation relevant to the above tasks including writing safe systems of work.Essential Qulations.

    Apprentice trained with relevant experience working in an industrial environment on 3-phase power systems.
    C&G2330 Level 3 Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology or equivalent qualifications such as an ONC/HNC in Electrical or Electronic Engineering will be acceptable
