How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our client, a well-established and reputable automotive dealership in Colne, is seeking an experienced Service Manager to join their team. This is a key leadership role offering an excellent opportunity to oversee customer service operations, lead a professional team, and contribute to the dealership’s ongoing growth as it expands into becoming an authorised repairer for a renowned vehicle brand. The successful candidate will have a strong background in automotive customer service and management, and a passion for delivering exemplary standards.

    Competitive salary of £35,000 with an OTE of £42,300

    Oversee all service and diagnostic processes, ensuring high standards of customer satisfaction
    Lead, coach, and develop the service team to meet and exceed KPIs

    Ensure compliance with brand standards, health and safety, and GDPR regulations
    Monitor performance metrics such as labour efficiency, sales figures, and costs

    Analyse customer feedback and competitor activity to improve service offerings as a Service Manager

    Attend manufacturer training sessions and internal meetings to stay informed of industry standardsRequirements of a Service Manager:

    Proven experience at a supervisory or managerial level within an automotive dealership
    Strong leadership and team development skills
    Knowledge of manufacturer service standards and KPIs
    Excellent communication and customer relationship skills
    Ability to interpret performance data and implement improvements
    Full, valid UK driving licence
