How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Project Engineer – BIW & Closures

    Rate: (Negotiable) in line with experience.

    RLE International are looking for a Project Engineer – BIW & Closures to support their client for an exciting new project to be based in Warwickshire on a 12 month contract:

    Skills required:

    • Design and develop BIW & Closures components and systems.

    • Development of commodity plans.

    • Ensure design solutions meet safety, quality, and cost targets.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, including Manufacturing and Purchasing.

    • Represent BIW & Closures in relationships with internal and external customers.

    • Provide engineering and technical guidance to team members for the successful design and release of components and systems.

    • Develop Engineering Statement of Work (ESOW)/Request for Quotation (RFQ) to onboard suppliers

    • Releasing of finished designs through ERN releasing system.

    • Review and presentation of design concepts through Vis-Mockup or other media.

    • The successful candidate will be able to take a system from pre studies through target definition, supplier selection, engineering development, Design Release and up to Job 1 + 90 days.

    • The job holder should have experience of designing mixed material solutions for body structures, doors and other closure systems. Knowledge of aluminium processes and joining techniques would be beneficial.

    Skills Preferred:

    • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar .

    • Experience in automotive BIW and/or closures design.

    • Knowledge of materials, joining and manufacturing processes.

    • Strong project engineering and problem-solving skills.

    • Proven track record in designing and releasing automotive BIW/closure components

    • Proficiency in DFMEA and DVP creation and execution.

    • Knowledge of CAE and DV methodologies.

    • Familiarity with automotive structural CAE tools and processes.
