Vehicle Technician | Mechanic | Automotive Engineer | Service Technician | Garage Technician
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join a busy and well-established automotive workshop based in Rotherham. This role is ideal for a skilled technician who is confident carrying out full vehicle repairs, servicing, and mechanical work to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of vehicles
* Perform engine repairs, timing belts, cambelts, clutches, gearboxes, and braking systems
* Conduct diagnostics, fault finding, and repairs using diagnostic equipment
* Work on suspension, steering, exhaust systems, and electrical faults
* Ensure all work is completed to DVSA / manufacturer standards
* Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic / Automotive Technician
* Strong knowledge of engine work, timing belts, clutches, and mechanical repairs
* Experience using diagnostic tools and fault-finding equipment
* Background in garage, dealership, fleet, or commercial vehicle environments
* Relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 2 / Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent)
* Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable Skills:
* Experience in fast-fit, service centres, or high-volume workshops
