How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Product Design Engineer

    Our client in Hyde who is a leading supplier in their chosen sector is looking for a Product Design Engineer who will be responsible to varied covering continuous development of existing products / new designs from prototype to production items.
    The role will be varied covering continuous development of existing products / new designs from prototype to production items. Areas of reasonability to include development of current products and creating new designs for the industry.
    The candidate will have the ability to work on conceptual designs through prototype, testing, to pre-production samples and final component approval.
    My client work in a 3D environment using the latest software package to generate part, assembly and detailed manufacturing drawings. We also perform various analysis tasks such as FEA and MoldFlow.
    The successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 years CAD experience and knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office package.
    The Job
    * Using Autodesk Invertor Product Design suite to develop new and updated designs of window shading products.
    * Prototype and test new concepts
    * Liaise with internal departments to create manufacturing and installation instructions.
    * Create images/renders for catalogue and promotional literature.
    Essential Criteria
    * Product Design Degree / or relevant work experience
    * Injection moulded part design knowledge
    Desirable Criteria:
    * Use of Autodesk Inventor software
    * Sheet metal part design
    * Extrusion profile design knowledge
