How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Good Afternoon,

    I am currently representing Enfield Council, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience

    We are looking for a Speech & Language Therapist this role will be: EN1 3ES

    The right candidate will:

    * To work in partnership with the senior leadership team in targeted schools, ARPs and Units to deliver a package of support for children and Young People

    * To act as the key professional from the ECASS team for named school ARPs and Units. Where the ARP or Unit is a new provision, this will involve jointly devising an action plan and identifying key areas and resources that can be provided by ECASS to achieve the school, ARP/Unit outcomes.

    * To negotiate and ensure that the above is integrated into whole school development plan.

    * To support schools, ARPs and Units to adopt, adapt and independently deliver a range of targeted interventions, based on assessed needs.

    * To co-deliver training so that children/young people’s speech, language and communication needs are understood by schools, ARPs and Units and parents/carers in the context of their other strengths and needs. This may include approaches such as learning and thinking skills, social, emotional and mental health, functional independence and organisational skills.

    * To work in partnership with schools, ARPs and Units to develop a supportive offer to parents and carers. This is with the aim of enabling families to provide the best possible home environment to improve communication and independence in their children.

    * To support ARPs and Units to put in place whole school approaches to address wellbeing of primary and secondary-aged children with speech, language and communication needs.

    We require the following:

    * Experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs and co-occurring speech, language and communication difficulties.

    * A degree or Post Graduate studies in Speech and Language Therapy

    * Awareness of current issues and developments within the NHS, Government SEN Policies within Education and how this relates to and impacts on service delivery.
