How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Stores Operative
     
    Competitive Pay | Monday-Friday | No weekend work
     
    We are looking for a reliable and motivated Stores Operative to join our expanding stores team. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role offering great variety, training, and long-term career development opportunities.
     
    This is not a handheld scanner-only role - you'll be involved in a wide range of practical stores and logistics duties in a busy manufacturing environment.
     
    The successful candidate for this role will come from a fast paced, engineering or manufacturing background with high attention to detail to booking in processes and stock control.
     
    Key Responsibilities of the Stores Operative role:

    Keep production areas supplied with consumables, PPE, and required kits
    Maintain accurate stock control records and update systems
    Carry out regular stock checks and full stock takes
    Monitor and report stock shortages or issues on the same day
    Manage goods in/out and vehicle movements (driving licence required)
    Operate a counterbalance forklift truck to move stock and kits safely
    Package and dispatch goods securely with correct paperwork and labelling
    Process returns and faulty goods with suppliers and accounts
    Maintain clean, safe, and organised stock areas in line with COSHH
    Support month-end stock valuation and reporting processes
    Follow health & safety procedures at all times What we need from you for the Stores Operative role:
