How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you a passionate Music Teacher? Looking for a new opportunity form September at a busy and diverse school with staff well-being at it's core?

    Tradewind Secondary are recruiting for a Music Teacher to join a high-performing and well run school in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire following the September break on a temporary to permanent basis.

    This is a busy and vibrant school with good staff morale and a long term to permanent post. The school are looking for a a teacher able to emphasise the importance of music in education. We are seeking applications from Teachers able to teach to pupils in years 7-11 (key stages 3 & 4). We are looking to speak with Music Teachers enthusiastic about contributing to an excellent music department and able to commit to a full time post from September 2026. Open to ECT's, experienced Music teachers and instructors looking to gain QTS. This post is offered on a temporary to permanent basis directly with the school with interviews to suit your availability.

    Based in Rickmansworth the school offers ample parking and is a walk and short bus ride from the train station. Parking is available for drivers and the school host a number of social events throughout the year.

    At KS3, students are taught a practical, hands-on curriculum in both instrumental music and singing. At KS4, students follow the OCR GCSE specification over 3 years, and Key Stage 5 students follow the OCR A Level Music course. The schools extra-curricular program is extensive and offers all musicians opportunities to participate in ensembles and perform throughout the year.

    The successful candidate will be expected to lead ensembles and contribute to the wider department and support the schools concert calendar. We welcome applications from both newly qualified and experienced teachers, and we provide a comprehensive induction program for all new staff.
