How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Embracing difference, leading change

Looking for a role where compassion meets purpose? If this is you, apply to join our team in Fife Services.

    About us:

At Scottish Autism, we acknowledge the specialist support our staff provide to autistic people, therefore those carrying out support work are known as Autism Practitioners. We are committed to supporting over 60 autistic adults across Fife, providing personalised care across a variety of settings. Our services range in their level of complexity and have varying staffing ratios, including 1:1 and 2:1 support.

We’re looking for dedicated and confident professionals with experience in support roles. We are seeking passionate, experienced and enthusiastic practitioners to make a positive impact on the lives of the people we support. While not essential, a Full UK Driver’s Licence would be beneficial to support our supported individuals to access their local community.

    Key responsibilities:

    - Build positive relationships with the supported people.
    - To support people to take part in their chosen activities such as swimming, gym, meals out, cinema, parties, going for walks, going on holiday and much more.
    - Continuously develop personalised support plans with the supported people, their support network, and other stakeholders to ensure their life goals and aspirations are the main focus.
    - To support people to take part in their chosen activities.
    - Be an active part of their local community and live as independently as possible.
    - Complete all tasks necessary to maintain their home and to support with personal care.

As part of your role, you will be required to undertake shift work, including weekends and evenings, so flexibility towards working hours is key. There are physical elements to this role.
