Alice Rose Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Shift Engineer to join the maintenance team at a prestigious commercial campus in Warren Street, Central London.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading FM service provider, working across a modern commercial estate comprising multiple buildings and plant areas. You will be part of a highly skilled team of engineers responsible for delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of mechanical and building services systems.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in commercial building maintenance and be looking to further develop their career within a technically challenging and supportive environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical building services systems including AHUs, FCUs, chillers, boilers, pumps, motors, and ventilation systems
* Monitor and maintain the site's central plant including chillers, cooling towers, boilers, and associated equipment
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
* Ensure correct operation of heating, cooling, ventilation, and water systems throughout the campus
* Carry out basic plumbing maintenance and repairs
* Monitor and operate BMS systems
* Escort and supervise specialist subcontractors
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure all logbooks are completed correctly
* Identify plant faults and implement corrective actions
* Support energy efficiency and plant optimisation initiatives
* Liaise with site management, occupiers, and contractors to ensure high service levels are maintained
* Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health & safety procedures and statutory compliance requirements

* 4 On, 4 Off Days Only
* 07:00 – 19:00

Requirements
* Level 2 or Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent)
* Proven experience within commercial building maintenance
* Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical plant
* Experience working within a commercial office, mixed-use, or large campus environment
* Good understanding of BMS systems
* Excellent communication and client-facing skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a shift team
* Must be able to provide copies of trade qualifications
