How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The role offers a varied generalist remit with a strong emphasis on supporting managers through effective training, developing accessible learning resources, and enhancing people processes across the organisation.

Alongside managing employee relations casework, the successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening management capability through the delivery of engaging training sessions, maintaining and improving learning platforms and SharePoint resources, and helping to embed best practice across the wider business.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Manage a broad range of employee relations casework, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, and performance matters

    * Provide practical, people-focused HR advice and guidance to managers across a range of generalist HR issues

    * Design and deliver engaging training sessions and workshops to build manager confidence and capability

    * Support the ongoing development and maintenance of learning platforms and HR resources, including SharePoint content

    * Create and continuously improve learning materials, toolkits, and guidance documents to support managers and employees

    * Identify trends and development opportunities arising from casework and implement targeted learning solutions

    * Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and in line with employment legislation and best practice

    * Support wider HR and people initiatives focused on employee engagement, wellbeing, learning, and culture

    * Build strong and collaborative relationships across the organisation, promoting a positive and supportive employee experience

    Essential Criteria

    * Previous experience within a generalist HR role, with strong exposure to employee relations casework

    * Experience designing and delivering training or learning initiatives for managers and/or employees

    * Experience managing or updating learning platforms, intranet systems, or SharePoint resources

    * Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice

    * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels

    * Comfortable managing multiple priorities and working independently within a fast-paced environment

    * Proactive and solutions-focused approach, with a genuine passion for people development and continuous improvement
