How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Calibration & Process Control Engineer

    Ideally Located: Glasgow, Bellshill, Cambuslang, Coatbridge, East Kilbride, Motherwell, Rutherglen, Paisley, Hamilton, ETC

    Are you a Controls Engineer with calibration experience, looking to join a global manufacturer where you can take ownership of automation, instrumentation, and process improvement projects within a highly technical environment?

    This is a fantastic opportunity to join an industry-leading company where you will play a key role in improving calibration systems, process control, PLCs, SCADA, and site-wide automation processes while benefiting from excellent progression and development opportunities.

    The company are internationally recognised leaders within their sector and have built a strong reputation through continuous investment, technical innovation, and long-term success. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to add a Controls Engineer to their specialist engineering team.

    You will be responsible for managing calibration systems and schedules, troubleshooting instrumentation and automation systems, and supporting process control improvements across a fast-paced manufacturing facility.

    This role would suit a Controls Engineer, Calibration Engineer, Instrumentation Engineer, or Process Control Engineer looking for an autonomous role within a technically advanced manufacturing environment offering long-term progression opportunities.

    The Role:

    Troubleshooting PLC, SCADA, instrumentation, and process control systems
    Managing calibration systems and schedules across site
    Driving automation and continuous improvement projectsThe Candidate:

    Degree qualified in Electrical, Controls, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline
    Experience with calibration, instrumentation, PLCs, or SCADA systems
