How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is a varied senior engineering role combining project delivery, technical problem solving, customer interaction and engineering support across bespoke engineered systems and equipment.

The position would suit an experienced Mechanical or Project Engineer who enjoys working on complex products, solving engineering challenges and collaborating across design, manufacturing and operations teams.

    The Role

    * Support the delivery of engineering projects from concept through to completion

    * Act as a key technical contact across multiple projects and customers

    * Produce and review engineering calculations, technical documentation and reports

    * Work closely with internal departments to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification

    * Identify and resolve technical and engineering challenges during project execution

    * Support project meetings and provide clear technical communication internally and externally

    * Assist with procedures, proposals and engineering documentation

    * Maintain accurate engineering records and support continuous improvement activities

    About You

You could come from a range of engineering sectors including heavy engineering, industrial equipment, mechanical systems, energy, manufacturing, subsea, rotating equipment, process industries or other complex engineering environments.

    You will likely have:

    * A degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar

    * Experience within a project engineering, mechanical engineering or technical delivery role

    * Strong understanding of engineering calculations and mechanical systems

    * Experience using 3D CAD software

    * Ideally some exposure to analysis or FEA tools

    * Good communication skills and a collaborative approach

    * The ability to manage multiple technical activities and priorities

    What’s on Offer

This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded engineering business involved in technically interesting projects and bespoke engineered equipment. The role offers a good level of autonomy, customer exposure and long-term career potential within a supportive engineering environment
