We are seeking an enthusiastic teacher who can inspire students through engaging and practical Food Preparation and Nutrition lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to contribute to KS5 teaching for suitable candidates. Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and ECTs.
The Role
The successful candidate will:
* Deliver high-quality Food Technology and Food Preparation & Nutrition lessons across KS3 and GCSE
* Inspire students through creative, practical, and theory-based learning
* Support student progress, attainment, and confidence in practical skills
* Promote healthy eating, nutrition, food safety, and independent learning
* Plan engaging lessons using adaptive teaching and assessment for learning strategies
* Maintain high expectations for behaviour, participation, and achievement
* Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities
* Support the wider pastoral and extra-curricular life of the school
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Has strong subject knowledge in Food Technology or Food Preparation & Nutrition
* Can deliver engaging practical lessons in a safe and organised environment
* Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management
* Understands GCSE assessment requirements and curriculum planning
* Has a commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
* Works collaboratively as part of a supportive department team
* Brings enthusiasm, creativity, and high expectations to the classroom
