How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Ofsted Registered Manager - Children Services
    Carnforth, Lancashire
    Salary: £46,300 - £52,100 + per annum

    Our client, a reputable provider of specialist social care services, is hiring for a dedicated Registered Manager to oversee a children's homes in Carnforth, Lancashire. The home supports children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, including some with complex behaviours.

    Your role and responsibilities as Registered Manager
    You will lead and inspire your team, maintain OFSTED compliance, and create a safe, nurturing environment where young people can thrive. With full support from senior leadership and an in-house psychology team, you will have the resources to succeed.

    What you'll bring:

    Proven leadership experience within social care settings, particularly with complex behaviours
    Strong understanding of safeguarding, compliance, and care standards
    Excellent communication and team management skills
    Ability to motivate and develop staff in a supportive environment
    A compassionate approach with a focus on positive outcomes for individuals
    Essential skills and qualifications:

    Relevant management qualification (e.g., Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care)
    Valid registration with the appropriate social care regulator
    Experience managing residential care settings supporting individuals with complex needs
