How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Quality Engineering Manager
    Coatbridge, Lanarkshire | Aerospace, Defence & Space
    Permanent | Senior Leadership Role
    Lead Quality in a Business Where Engineering Integrity Is Everything
    We are partnering with a highly advanced aerospace and defence manufacturing organisation to appoint a Quality Engineering Manager to lead its Quality function across complex, mission-critical products and manufacturing operations.
    This is a senior leadership opportunity within a technically demanding environment where precision, compliance, and reliability are fundamental to success.
    The business operates at the forefront of aerospace, defence, and space technology, delivering highly engineered products used in critical applications where failure is simply not an option.
    This role offers the opportunity to shape quality strategy, influence operational performance, and drive continuous improvement across a growing engineering organisation.
    The Opportunity
    As Quality Engineering Manager, you will lead the Quality Engineering team and take ownership of the organisation’s AS9100 and ISO9001 Quality Management Systems, ensuring the highest standards of product and process quality are achieved across the business.
    You will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Customers, and Regulatory Bodies to drive compliance, improve capability, reduce risk, and strengthen operational performance.
    This is a role with genuine influence and visibility — ideal for an experienced Quality leader who enjoys combining strategic leadership with hands-on operational impact.
    What You’ll Be Doing
    * Leading and developing a high-performing Quality Engineering team
    * Owning and continuously improving the AS9100 / ISO9001 Quality Management System
    * Driving a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across the business
    * Leading internal, supplier, customer, and certification audits
    * Managing non-conformance activities, root cause investigations, and corrective actions
    * Supporting First Article Inspection (FAI), product surveillance, and product acceptance activities
    * Driving improvements in manufacturing quality, process capability, and operational performance
    * Supporting engineering change management and configuration control activities
    * Working closely with customers and suppliers to resolve quality-related issues
    * Analysing quality KPIs and implementing improvement strategies
    * Applying advanced quality methodologies
    What We’re Looking For
    We’re looking for an experienced Quality Engineering leader with a strong background within aerospace, defence, space, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
    You will bring:
    * Degree qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Science, or related discipline
    * Significant experience in Quality Engineering leadership roles
    * Strong working knowledge of AS9100 / ISO9001 Quality Systems
    * Experience leading audits, compliance activities, and customer quality engagements
    * Strong understanding of:
    * Root cause analysis
    * Risk management
    * Configuration control
    * Engineering change management
    * Manufacturing quality systems
    * Experience developing and leading Quality Engineering teams
    * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

    If you are an experienced Quality Engineering leader looking for a role where you can make a genuine impact within a high-integrity engineering environment, we would love to hear from you
