Major Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading international automotive company with a strong presence in the Shipley area (easily commutable from Bradford and West Leeds).

Our client operates a large, expanding factory employing over 700 people across the UK. We are currently seeking motivated Manufacturing Operatives to join their dynamic team.

Your Role as a Production Operative

As a Production Operative, you will play a crucial role in assembling high-quality components using power tools and technical drawings. You’ll also operate machinery and assist in the production process. This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone who enjoys practical work and takes pride in precision and efficiency.

Shift Pattern

* Monday – Thursday: 14:00 – 22:00

* Friday: 11:00 – 16:00

* 37 hours per week

* Early finish every Friday!

What You’ll Be Doing

* Carrying out basic production tasks

* Building and assembling automotive components

* Operating machinery safely and efficiently

* Using a variety of power tools

* Reading and working from detailed technical drawings

* Performing basic quality checks

* Working efficiently in a fast-paced production environment

* Collaborating with your team while also working independently

What We’re Looking For

* Previous experience in manufacturing or production (preferred)

* Confidence using power tools and machinery

* Ability to read technical drawings

* Comfortable with repetitive tasks and manual handling

* Strong communication skills

* Team player with a proactive attitude

* Excellent attendance and timekeeping

* Willingness to learn and develop new skills
