How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Shift Maintenance Engineers x3

    Days & Nights rotation – 06:00 – 18:00 / 18:00 – 06:00

    4 on, 4 off

    Selexa Group Ltd are partnered with a leading food & manufacturing client in the search for x3 Shift Engineers to support a robust and high-output Maintenance function.

    You will be responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and machinery repair, ensuring full regulatory compliance, working in a small team to minimise downtime and optimise performance and efficiency.

    Qualifications:

    * C&G and/or similar Engineering Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

    * 5 years ideally production maintenance experience within a Maintenance or manufacturing environment

    * Strong understanding of manufacturing engineering equipment, especially process, production, packing and filling lines

    * Knowledge of PLC systems, automation and control circuits/systems

    * Ideally food manufacturing and production experience

    Key Activities:

    * Perform routine maintenance activity, ensuring task completion and safety guidelines adhered to

    * Support equipment such as mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, pumps and shaft drives

    * Support complex breakdowns and technical issues, providing advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and decision-making

    * Ensure planned Engineering activities are delivered appropriately and on time

    * Liaise with production & engineering management to communicate shift performance, issues and improvement opportunities

    * Ensure accurate and timely documentation of maintenance activities and shift handovers

    * Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring seamless integration and best practices are followed

    * Drive compliance within industry standards and H&S pertinence
