How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    ANZUK Education is working with a Secondary School set in Ashford who are seeking to appoint an exceptional MFL Teacher to join their vibrant and ambitious school to teach French and Spanish at Key Stage 3.

    * Pay Range: £168.80 - £232.58 per (equivalent to MPS1–MPS6), dependent on experience

    * Contract Type: Fixed Term – 1 yr Maternity Cover

    * Hours: Full-Time

    * Start Date:September 2026

    About the role:

    The school in Ashford are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated MFL Teacher to join a successful department on a one-year maternity cover from September. The successful candidate will teach French and Spanish to Key Stage 3 students, delivering engaging lessons that inspire a love of languages and support student progress. This is a full-time role requiring strong classroom management, excellent organisational skills, and a commitment to planning, marking and contributing positively to the wider school community.

    Required skills & experience:

    * Applicants must hold QTS and have experience teaching French & Spanish

    * Be available full-time (5 days per week) and commit to a long-term maternity cover role from September.

    * Plan and deliver engaging French and Spanish lessons to Key Stage 3 students.

    * Prepare, assess and mark classwork, homework and coursework in line with school policies.

    * Monitor, record and report on student progress, attainment and wellbeing.

    * Maintain high standards of behaviour, safeguarding and classroom management.

    * Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and departmental success.
