How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Senior Business Analyst – Housing Improvement Programme

    Guildford | £450 InIR35 - Hybrid

We’re looking for a Senior Business Analyst who can get under the skin of how housing services work and help us make them better. This role sits within our Housing Improvement Programme - a major piece of work focused on strengthening governance, compliance, safety and service delivery across the whole housing function.

    What the role involves

You’ll work across several housing workstreams - repairs, voids, lettings, compliance, tenancy management and more - helping us understand what’s happening now and what needs to change.

    Your day-to-day will include:

    *

Running workshops and engaging with teams to understand how things really work

    *

Gathering and translating business requirements into practical, usable solutions

    *

Mapping and improving end-to-end processes (repairs, voids, compliance workflows, tenancy processes etc.)

    *

Supporting the rollout of compliance policies and building tools for assurance and monitoring

    *

Standardising tenancy-related processes so they’re consistent, compliant and easier to deliver

    *

Recommending system and process changes that improve outcomes for residents and staff

    *

Acting as the link between operational teams, project teams and senior stakeholders

    *

Maintaining BA artefacts such as process maps, requirements logs, SOPs, RACI charts and benefits tracking

    *

Supporting system integrations and understanding how they impact business processes

Experience in housing systems, user research or service design is a bonus, but not essential.

    What we’re looking for

    We need someone who is:

    *

Experienced in business analysis, ideally within local government, housing or transformation

    *

Confident working with data, spotting patterns and using insight to shape decisions

    *

Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

    *

Strong on communication and able to influence at all levels

    *

Proactive, curious and focused on improving services for residents
