Architect / Architectural Technician

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join an award-winning regional developer based in the Central Belt

We are looking for an Architect or Architectural Technician with strong technical drawing and detailing experience to join a busy and collaborative Technical team working across a range of residential developments.

This role will heavily focus on the production, coordination and management of technical drawing packages for new-build housing and flatted developments, taking projects from early-stage design through Planning, Building Warrant and construction phases.

The successful candidate will work closely with internal departments, external consultants and site teams to help deliver high-quality housing developments across both private and social housing sectors.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have experience producing technical and construction drawing packages for residential developments
• Be highly proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit
• Have strong residential detailing and construction knowledge
• Possess a good understanding of Scottish Building Regulations, NHBC standards and Housing for Varying Needs
• Have experience coordinating technical information with consultants, suppliers and site teams
• Be organised, proactive and capable of managing multiple drawing packages and deadlines
• Enjoy the technical delivery side of projects as much as the design aspect
• Experience using Project Vault would be advantageous but is not essential

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce and coordinate technical drawings, working drawing packages and construction details
• Prepare and manage Building Warrant and Planning drawing submissions
• Coordinate technical information between architects, engineers, consultants and suppliers
• Develop and amend house type drawings and standard details
• Respond to site queries and provide technical drawing support throughout construction
• Review consultant drawings to ensure accuracy and coordination across projects
• Attend project meetings, pre-start meetings and site visits as required
• Assist with technical detailing, value engineering and design coordination across developments
• Support the ongoing development and improvement of standard house type ranges
