How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Sub-Agent – Civils Infrastructure

    Permanent

    Location: Glasgow (Central Belt)

    Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 DOE

    Industry-leading Engineering contractor, operating profitably for the last 50 years, benefitting from continued workstreams from their key client network.

    They specialise in a number of Engineering disciplines and can offer variety with their works. This is an outstanding opportunity to join an organisation who have an exceptionally high staff retention rate and who have a demonstrable track record of nurturing and promoting from within.

    Experienced Sub Agents and Senior Site Engineers are encouraged to apply.

    Duties will include:

    * Manage the daily operations on site and ensure project timescales are met within a safe and accurate fashion.

    * Reporting weekly to the Project Manager on key aspects of progress issues and concerns.

    * Contribute and help to ensure that success throughout all projects is achieved by delivering the programme on time.

    * Support engineers on site.

    * Any other site management duties as required.

    What you'll need to succeed

    * Previous experience in a similar capacity for another Civil Engineering contractor

    * Able to communicate with staff at all levels.

    * Able to build and maintain strong working relationships.

    * Willing to mentor and develop site staff.

    * CSCS card

    * SMSTS

    * Good knowledge of Health and Safety in construction

    * Degree/HND in Civil Engineering is preferred.

    * Understanding of NEC form of Contract
