We are recruiting a Consultant Psychiatrist in Older Adults to join a specialist inpatient service in Batley, supporting patients with dementia and functional mental health disorders.
This role is based on a 16 bed male ward (10 dementia beds, 6 functional disorders), working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care. Many patients are detained under the Mental Health Act.

Act as Responsible Clinician under the Mental Health Act (1983)
Lead ward rounds, risk assessments, and care planning
Provide psychiatric input to the MDT on assessment and treatment
Support admissions, including pre-admission assessments
Maintain a therapeutic and recovery-focused ward environmentRequirements:
CCT (or equivalent) in Older Adult Psychiatry, or General Adult Psychiatry with older adult experience
GMC registration with licence to practise
