Location: Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire

Salay: £26,500 - £28,500

Semi-skilled General Operative required. Our client is a specialist manufacturer, supplying a range of industries with specialist engineering and fabrication solutions based in the Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire area.

Our client specialised within sheet metal manufacturing including laser cutting, press brakes and welding. The role is a varied and hands-on positions working across production and stores.

Semi-skilled General Operative Position Overview

Assisting with fabrication and assembly
Cutting of timber, ply and chipboards for projects
Operating a forklift within the warehouse
Palletising and wrapping of products ready for dispatch
Assisting with loading and unloading of lorries
Assist with quality inspection to ISO9001 standards
Ensuring the workshop and warehouse are kept in tidy and safe conditions

Semi-skilled General Operative Position Requirements

Ability to competently use power tools and hand tools
Experience working in a manufacturing, engineering, or similar trade environment (e.g. electrical, joinery)
Proactive, reliable, and with a positive attitude to work
Good understanding of health & safety practices
Willingness to support across fabrication, assembly, and workshop activities
Crane operator licence and/or forklift licence would be highly advantageous (RTITB / AITT accredited) preferred
Willingness to obtain CS Clearance and DBS Check
Full UK Driving License

Starting salary: £26,500 - £28,500
Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 16:30. Friday 08:00 - 15:30. Permanent position.
