How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Role – Site Manager

    Location – Scotland

Mint Selection are partnering with a leading organisation within the energy sector to recruit an experienced Site Manager for a major utility-scale energy project based in Scotland. This will be a 24-month contract starting in July and will require someone to be fully site based throughout the duration of the project.

The successful individual will take ownership of day-to-day site activities and oversee the safe delivery of construction works across multiple packages. This role requires someone who has previously delivered utility-scale BESS projects and understands how to manage contractors, challenge programme and drive delivery on site.

    Scope of Work

    • Oversee day-to-day site activities across the project, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements.

    • Manage and coordinate contractors across civil, mechanical and electrical scopes of work.

    • Ensure all site activities are carried out in line with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) standards and permit-to-work systems.

    • Monitor contractor performance, site progress, and quality of workmanship, ensuring issues are identified and resolved quickly.

    • Coordinate site interfaces between contractors, suppliers, and wider project teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

    • Support reporting into the wider project team, providing updates on progress, risks, delays, and key site activities.

    • Lead site meetings, toolbox talks and daily briefings to maintain strong safety and delivery standards.

    • Support construction through to commissioning and handover phases.

    Experience to be Considered

    • Proven experience working as a Site Manager on utility-scale BESS projects.

    • Strong background overseeing civil, mechanical and electrical contractors on major infrastructure or energy projects.

    • Experience managing site activities on large-scale construction projects with multiple contractor interfaces.

    • Strong understanding of HSEQ procedures, site safety, and construction sequencing.

    • Comfortable working in a fully site-based role with minimum 10-hour working days.

    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to maintain a proactive site presence.

This will be a 24-month contract with a July start and will require a full-time site presence.
