You will be responsible for delivering highly differentiated and engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs, ensuring pupils are supported academically, socially, and emotionally. Within each classroom, you will be supported by 2–3 Teaching Assistants, allowing for a strong team approach to learning and behaviour support. The successful SEN Teacher will also be expected to use a range of communication strategies, including PECS and Makaton, to support pupils’ understanding, communication, and engagement in learning.
