Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (No weekends)
About the Role
We’re currently recruiting for a well-established and busy plumbing and heating supplier in the Wickford area, who are looking to welcome a Trade Counter Assistant into their friendly, close-knit team.
This is a great opportunity to join a small, family-run business where people genuinely enjoy what they do and take pride in offering excellent customer service. You’ll be a key part of the day-to-day running of the counter, building relationships with customers and helping keep things running smoothly.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Serving customers on the trade counter in a helpful and approachable manner
* Offering advice on plumbing and heating products
* Processing orders, sales, and payments
* Keeping stock levels topped up and displays organised
* Building strong relationships with regular customers
* Supporting with general branch duties as needed
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has experience in a trade counter or similar customer-facing role
* Ideally has a background in plumbing or heating
* Is comfortable working in a small or family-run business environment
* Is friendly, reliable, and confident speaking with customers
* Has good communication and organisational skills
* Enjoys working as part of a team in a busy setting
