How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    The Role:

    OurClient is seeking a talented and driven Civil Litigation Lawyer to join its growing dispute resolution team. This role offers a varied caseload acting for both businesses and individuals across a broad range of civil and commercial disputes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Manage a diverse caseload of civil and commercial litigation matters from instruction through to resolution

    * Handle disputes including:

    * Shareholder/director and partnership disputes

    * Breach of contract

    * Property litigation (commercial and residential)

    * ToLATA, boundary and neighbour disputes

    * Private nuisance, harassment and defamation

    * Will, inheritance and professional negligence claims

    * Debt recovery, possession and insolvency matters

    * Draft legal documents (including statements of case, witness statements and settlement agreements)

    * Conduct advocacy where appropriate and instruct counsel when required

    * Advise clients on strategy including ADR, mediation and negotiation

    * Ensure compliance with CPR and court deadlines

    * Maintain strong client relationships and support business development initiatives

    Candidate Profile:

    * Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) or CILEX Lawyer/Litigator with current practising status

    * Opportunities at:

    * 2+ PQE

    * 5–6+ PQE (senior level)

    * Strong knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules (CPR)

    * Excellent drafting, analytical and advocacy skills

    * Commercially aware and client-focused

    * Strong organisational skills with ability to manage competing deadlines

    * Team player with ability to support junior colleagues
