How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Salary: £168.80 - £261.78 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

    Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Supply Teachers to work across a range of schools throughout Middlesbrough. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced practitioners and ECTs to gain varied experience, work in supportive environments, and maintain a great work-life balance.

    About the Role:

    As a Supply Teacher for Tradewind, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across KS3-KS5 in your specialist subject. You will also be expected to manage classroom behaviour, follow school policies, and ensure pupils remain engaged and supported in their learning.

    We work with a wide range of schools, from large academies to smaller community schools, allowing you to experience different settings and find the perfect fit for your teaching style.

    Requirements:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

    Experience teaching in UK secondary schools

    Two suitable references covering the last 2 years

    A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one)

    Strong behaviour management skills

    Passion for teaching

    Reliable, adaptable and confident in different classroom settings
