How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

A growing construction consultancy in London is looking to appoint a Senior Project Manager to support a senior team member with the delivery of live construction projects. This Senior Project Manager role would suit a confident, capable, and proactive individual who can quickly take ownership of projects, manage key workstreams, and keep delivery moving without needing close supervision.

The successful Senior Project Manager will be joining a professional consultancy environment where initiative, communication, and client management are essential. This Senior Project Manager position is ideal for someone who can "grab and run" with projects, supporting senior leadership while acting as a reliable day-to-day lead across programmes, consultants, contractors, and clients. The Senior Project Manager will need to be commercially aware, organised, and comfortable managing multiple priorities at once.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience as a Project Manager to be considered for this role.

    The Senior Project Manager's role

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for leading construction projects through the full project lifecycle, from early briefing and pre-construction stages through to delivery and completion.

The Senior Project Manager will manage project programmes, coordinate design teams, chair meetings, monitor risks, track actions, report to clients, and ensure projects are delivered in line with agreed objectives. The Senior Project Manager will also support procurement, contractor coordination, stakeholder management, contract administration duties, change control, and project reporting.

    The Senior Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager will ideally have:

A degree in Construction Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Construction Management, or a related construction discipline
Strong experience working within a construction consultancy
Experience delivering projects across the built environment
The ability to independently lead projects and manage client relationships
Strong knowledge of project programmes, risk management, reporting, and consultant coordination
Knowledge of JCT contracts would be beneficial
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
APM, CIOB, RICS, or working towards a relevant professional qualification would be advantageous

    In Return?

    £65,000 - £78,000
    Pension contribution
    Professional development support
    Long-term progression opportunities
    Varied project workload
    Supportive senior leadership team
Opportunity to take ownership of projects from day one
