How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Are you a passionate Educator looking to make a profound impact?

Tradewind are seeking a resilient, creative, and nurturing SEN Teacher to lead a Sensory Senior Class at a highly regarded SEN School in Chorley. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with older students who have complex needs, including Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

As this role starts ASAP, we are looking for someone ready to hit the ground running and become an integral part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team.

    The Role

Lead a specialised sensory-based curriculum tailored to senior students with complex needs.

Focus on life skills, communication, and physical wellbeing through sensory stories, hydrotherapy, and tactile learning.

Manage and lead a team of Teaching Assistants to ensure a high standard of holistic care and education.

Assess and track progress using small-step frameworks (e.g., P-Levels or Engagement Model).

Collaborate with parents, carers, and external therapists (SALT, Physio, OT).

    The Ideal Candidate

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Proven experience working within an SEN setting, specifically with sensory learners or students with SLD/PMLD.

Strong understanding of sensory integration and non-verbal communication methods (e.g., PECS, Makaton).

A calm, patient, and empathetic approach, with the ability to manage complex behaviours and medical needs.

    Commitment to a full-time, 5-day-a-week schedule.

    Why Join This School?

Specialist Facilities: Access to state-of-the-art sensory rooms, hydrotherapy pools, and outdoor learning spaces.

Supportive Environment: A leadership team that priorities staff wellbeing and professional development.

Community Impact: Be part of a school that is at the heart of the Chorley community.

Career Growth: Opportunities for ongoing training in specialist SEN methodologies.
