How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We are supporting a major UK nuclear infrastructure programme in the appointment of a Principal EC&I Engineer to act as Electrical Lead.

This is a senior, hands‑on leadership role, responsible for the delivery of nuclear safety‑implicated EC&I design across new infrastructure works within a highly regulated environment.

    Key Responsibilities

Act as Electrical Lead for scheme design on nuclear safety‑implicated infrastructure.
Lead and coordinate EC&I design activities including:

    Traditional building services electrical design
    Specialist communications and control systems
Provide day‑to‑day leadership for a team of 5-6 electrical engineers, ensuring alignment with programme milestones.
Ensure the team is working on the right activities at the right time, maintaining technical quality and schedule adherence.
Produce technical scopes, including resource loading, to support design changes and client requests.
Manage design assumptions, technical risks, and interfaces.
Control and manage design change processes in line with nuclear governance requirements.
Deliver design outputs fully aligned with client, regulatory and nuclear safety expectations.

    Required Experience

Proven experience in EC&I design leadership within building services or infrastructure environments.
Experience working on nuclear or highly regulated projects (defence, rail, utilities, pharma also considered).
Strong understanding of HV/LV systems, building services electrical design and associated standards.
Demonstrable experience leading multi‑disciplinary engineering teams.
Comfortable working within formal change control and assurance frameworks.
    Eligible for UK SC Clearance.

    Why Apply?

    High‑profile, long‑term nuclear infrastructure programme.
