How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Assistant Headteacher / SENCO – SEND School
    Are you an experienced SENCO and SEND leader looking for the next step in your career? Do you have the passion and expertise to support children with additional needs while helping drive whole-school improvement? This specialist SEND school in Warwickshire is looking to appoint a dedicated Assistant Headteacher / SENCO to join their senior leadership team.

    This welcoming and well-resourced school supports children and young people with a range of special educational needs, providing a nurturing, structured and inclusive learning environment where pupils are supported to thrive both academically and personally.
    As Assistant Headteacher / SENCO, you will play a key role in the strategic leadership of SEND provision across the school. You will work closely with the Headteacher and wider leadership team to ensure high-quality teaching, effective interventions and outstanding support for pupils with additional needs. You will oversee EHCP processes, coordinate provision and support staff in delivering personalised learning for all students.

    This role would suit an experienced SENCO ready to step into senior leadership, or an established Assistant Headteacher with strong SEND experience and the appropriate qualification.

    Job Role:

    Supporting the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher in the strategic leadership and development of the school
    Overseeing EHCPs, annual reviews and personalised learning plans
    Supporting staff with SEND strategies, interventions and best practice
    Monitoring pupil progress and ensuring effective support is in place
    Working closely with families, external agencies and therapists
    Supporting teaching, learning, behaviour and safeguarding across the school
    Contributing to whole-school improvement initiatives and leadershipIn Return You Will:
