How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Primary SEN Class Teacher

    Location: Redbridge, Essex
    Salary: Main Scale + SEN allowance
    Full time

    Career Teachers are working in partnership with a welcoming and well‑established special school in Redbridge, Essex to recruit a dedicated SEN Class Teacher.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to inclusive education and wants to make a genuine difference to pupils with Autism, Social Communcation Difficulties and complex learning needs.

    The Role

    You will take responsibility for a class of pupils with a range of additional and complex needs, delivering a broad, balanced and engaging curriculum tailored to individual learning profiles.

    As part of a supportive, team‑based approach, you will:

    Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons that meet individual pupil needs
    Develop, review and maintain Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
    Track progress and prepare reports for annual reviews and assessments
    Create a safe, stimulating and welcoming classroom environment
    Work closely with classroom support staff, guiding and directing their daily practice
    Promote positive behaviour and pupil wellbeing at all times
    Build strong, professional relationships with families, colleagues and external professionalsYou will also contribute fully to staff meetings, training and whole‑school development, with opportunities for continued professional growth.

    The Ideal Candidate

    We are looking for someone who is:

    A qualified teacher (QTS required)
    Passionate about SEN and inclusive education
    Patient, adaptable and resilient
    Confident working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
    Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of childrenExperience working with pupils with complex needs or in a special school setting is highly desirable, though applications from teachers with a strong interest in SEN are warmly welcomed.
