Workshop Manager – Letchworth – Up to £65,000

An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Workshop Manager to join a well-established sheet metal and fabrication business based just outside of Letchworth. Specialising in high-quality fabricated and sheet metal solutions, the company supports a diverse customer base across a variety of engineering and manufacturing sectors.

This Workshop Manager role would suit someone with a strong background in sheet metal fabrication who is confident leading teams, managing production flow, and maintaining high standards across a fast-paced workshop environment.

Workshop Manager’s Key Responsibilities:

· Overseeing the day-to-day running of the sheet metal and fabrication workshop

· Managing fabrication staff and coordinating workloads to meet production deadlines

· Ensuring manufacturing processes are completed efficiently and to required quality standards

· Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications

· Driving health & safety compliance and continuous improvement throughout the workshop

Skills & Experience Required as a Workshop Manager:

· Previous experience managing teams within a sheet metal or fabrication environment

· Strong understanding of fabrication processes including welding, forming, and assembly

· Ability to read and work from engineering drawings

· Excellent organisational, leadership, and problem-solving skills

· Hands-on approach with the ability to prioritise multiple projects effectively
