How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Beyond Talent Solutions are delighted to be supporting a Rotherham-based organisation with the appointment of a Part Time Receptionist / Administrator on a 3 month fixed term contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being at the heart of a busy office environment, providing a warm welcome to visitors whilst keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly behind the scenes.

    The Role

    You’ll play a key part in the administrative team, supporting with both front-of-house reception duties and wider admin support across the business.

    This is a varied position, ideal for someone who enjoys multitasking and being the go-to person for getting things done.

    Key Responsibilities

    Managing reception, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment

    Handling incoming calls, emails, and post

    Meeting and greeting visitors, managing sign-in and building access

    Supporting meeting room bookings and set-up (including basic tech support)

    Maintaining diaries and coordinating room usage via Outlook

    Ordering office supplies and managing stock levels

    Providing general administrative support across teams

    Assisting with document preparation, scanning, and filing

    Supporting internal systems and data entry

    Helping with event organisation and meeting coordination

    Providing cover for administrative colleagues where needed

    What We’re Looking For

    Previous experience in an administrative or reception role

    Confident using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

    Strong organisational skills and great attention to detail

    Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner

    Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively

    A proactive, team-focused approach with the confidence to work independently

    Someone who understands the importance of confidentiality
