How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Science Teacher – SEMH School (Windsor)
    Location: Windsor
    Contract: Full-time / Permanent (part-time considered)
    Start Date: As soon as possible
    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and resilient Science Teacher to join a specialist SEMH school in Windsor, supporting young people who have struggled to thrive in mainstream education.
    This is a unique environment that values high support and high challenge, creativity, flexibility, and strong relational practice. The school provides a highly personalised curriculum for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, supporting them to re-engage with learning, build confidence, and achieve meaningful outcomes.
    The Role
    Deliver engaging and accessible Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
    Adapt teaching approaches to meet diverse SEMH needs
    Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
    Support pupils’ emotional regulation and personal development alongside academic progress
    Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including pastoral staff and SEN professionals
    Use creative, practical, and experiential learning strategiesThe Ideal Candidate
    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, or strong unqualified experience in specialist settings
    Experience working with SEMH, SEND, or alternative provision (essential)
    Strong classroom presence with excellent behaviour management strategies
    A calm, patient, and reflective approach to teaching
    Commitment to inclusive education and trauma-informed practice
