How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Employment Associate (2+ PQE)

    Location: Glasgow

    From day one, you will work on top-tier, varied and international work, alongside advising on an impressive client base, including major household names and global brands, across a broad spectrum of employment matters. From day-to-day HR advisory and employment tribunal litigation to transactional support, restructuring, outsourcing and global project work, you’ll gain exposure to a depth and variety of work rarely found at this level.


    Additionally, you will work closely with colleagues across corporate, restructuring, TMT and real estate, as well as collaborating with international teams on cross-border matters and global HR projects. It’s an environment that gives you a commercial, well-rounded skillset, not just technical experience.


    Upon joining the team as an Associate, you will be encouraged to build client relationships, get involved in business development and contribute to thought leadership, helping you establish your profile in the market early in your career.

    Your Experience

    • UK Employment Solicitor (2+ PQE)
    • Strong experience across employment law matters
    • Experience in tribunal litigation, advisory and/or transactional support
    • Knowledge of TUPE, restructuring and outsourcing work
    • Commercially aware with a proactive, solution-driven approach
    • Strong communication skills and confidence working with clients
    • Interest in business development and building your profile
