Salary will be determined based on experience and position on the Main Pay Range. The maximum salary applies to candidates with substantial teaching experience equivalent to U3.
A well-established and popular primary school in Havering is seeking a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team. The school benefits from a modern, well-maintained environment with spacious outdoor areas and a strong, supportive staff culture.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an HLTA who is confident leading whole-class sessions and supporting pupils across EYFS and Key Stage 1.
The Role
• Lead whole-class sessions in the absence of the teacher
• Deliver pre-planned lessons across EYFS and KS1
• Provide targeted intervention support for small groups
• Support pupils with a range of needs, including SEN
• Work closely with class teachers and the senior leadership team
Requirements
• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS and KS1 curriculum
• Confidence in leading a class independently
• Experience supporting pupils with SEN (desirable)
• Positive, proactive, and adaptable approach
