How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Description:

    A major Building contractor who are known as a real market leader in their field, delivering large scale new build construction projects the length and breadth of the UK.

    Complimenting the Project Director and Construction Manager, the successful Project Manager will help form the delivery team for the construction of a new £150m+ flagship development in Glasgow.

    This position would suit established Project Managers, or experienced Senior Site Managers with extensive relevant experience who are keen to progress into Project Management.

    HIGH-RISE experience is essential for this role.

    Responsibilities:

    * Act as the point of contact for client.

    * Formulate and present progress reporting structure both internally and to the client.

    * Assist Project Director in Formulating and agreeing main contract programmes.

    * Assist Project Director in setting the agenda for the construction process and the design information co-ordination to achieve that process.

    * Ensure site team manage and maintain required standards in relation to site health and safety, security and fire policies.

    * Manage company administration procedures and maintain accurate records.

    * Delegate work packages to build team.

    * Work with Quantity Surveyors in relation to distribution of contractual correspondence.

    * Ensure that the team conduct regular meetings with stakeholders in line with agreed schedule and that those meetings are recorded correctly and distributed as required.

    * Build and maintain strong relationships between all stakeholders including build, commercial and design teams and make sure that regular and appropriate meetings take place as required.

    * Maintain regular communication with line manager and escalate issues and risks as required.

    * Manage, maintain and share a risk register and identify mitigations as required.

    * Attend and fully participate in all pre-order and pre-start meetings.

    * Liaise with client, architect, structural engineers, Building Control, NHBC and other organisations as required.

    * Ensure design is progressed in line with the programme requirements.

    * Ensure procurement orders are placed in a timely manner.

    Essential Criteria:

    * Proven track record of working on high-rise new build projects for a main contractor or residential builder.

    * Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering

    * A respectable leader with organisational skills and the ability to maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

    * CSCS, SMSTS & First Aid

    * Applicants must reside within commuting distance of Glasgow City Centre.
