The Opportunity
We are working with a highly successful, well-established construction business to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor into their growing commercial team.

The Role
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial team across the full lifecycle of projects, gaining hands-on experience while working alongside experienced professionals. You’ll be given real responsibility, but also the guidance and mentorship needed to develop into a fully-fledged Quantity Surveyor.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting with cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting

Supporting subcontractor procurement and management
*
Helping to prepare valuations, variations, and final accounts
*
Assisting with contract administration and commercial reporting
*
Working closely with project and site teams
*
Learning to identify risks and opportunities on projects
What We’re Looking For
*
Some experience within a Quantity Surveying or commercial role (placement year or post-grad experience considered)
*
A relevant qualification or working towards one (e.g. Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management)
*
Strong numerical and analytical skills
*
Eagerness to learn and develop within a commercial role
*
Good communication and teamworking abilities
*
Industrial project exposure is beneficial but not essential
